If you are a person who can't stop pulling out their hair
or eyelashes, we have good news for you.
For over twenty five years, I had a terrible secret. I was embarassed, ashamed, and totally in the dark as to why it was that I was simply not able to stop pulling out my own eyelashes and eyebrows. No matter how much I wanted to, no matter how hard I tried, I would soon find myself pulling again, compelled beyond reason and driven beyond anything I could understand or comprehend. And worse, I was alone. Those people who did know about it, were either angry with me, embarassed by me, or simply thought I was weird. And I too, thought I was weird. Why would anybody pull out their own hair, or eyelashes, or eyebrows, or any other body hair?
Because we have a disorder called trichotillomania.
You are no longer alone.
We are committed to keeping this a safe, fun, and informative community.
I hope you'll stay for awhile and get to know us.
And in the process, get to know yourself a little bit better as well.

Staring in to the mirror, but what did I see
Was that the white rabbit staring back at me?
I shook my head to be free of the trance
I fell through the mirror, and saw with a glance
Off in the distance, lined up on a shore
A million people, possibly more
Across the water an island I see
are even more people, they seem happy and free
I take a boat over, still so alone
but when I reach trich island, I know I am home
